The
surrounding dramatic landscape is a
paradise for walkers and geologists,
the Precambrian rock being some of the
oldest in Britain. Volcanic activity
provided the Lawley and Caradoc Stretton
Hills with ice-flows creating the wonderful
features of the Longmynd, whilst the
nearby limestone escarpment of Wenlock
Edge is abundant with fossils.
Church
Stretton
Just a few miles away, the market town
of Church Stretton offers a variety of
small shops, café and pubs. From
here it is possible to walk up onto the
Long Mynd.

Wenlock & Wenlock Edge
Birthplace of the modern Olympic Games,
the small "black and white"
town of Much Wenlock is home to Wenlock
Priory.
Stokesay
Castle
Located a few miles to the south this
wonderful fortified manor house is managed
by English Heritage.
Acton
Scott Historic Working Farm
Just a few minutes drive from Willowfield
the farm recreates country life at the
turn of the century.
